Shenzhen or Hong Kong: comparing sourcing offers
Updated 2026-09-09
A city name does not establish the quality, price or legal status of a used iPhone lot. Compare the actual seller, goods, evidence and transaction terms.
Shenzhen’s Futian district describes Huaqiangbei and nearby trading areas as a used-consumer-electronics cluster; in 2025, the district reported that Tongtiandi was selected for a second-hand commodity circulation pilot. That is local trade context from the Shenzhen municipal government, not evidence that a particular seller or lot is certified.
Hong Kong describes itself as a free port without a general customs tariff, but its Trade and Industry Department also explains that some goods remain subject to licensing or control and that import and export declarations apply. A “Hong Kong” label does not settle the destination country’s duties, approvals or other requirements.
Questions for either location
Ask the same questions before comparing the offers:
- Who is the contracting seller and which account receives payment?
- Where are the phones inspected and where does the courier collect them?
- At what point does risk pass to the buyer?
- Which exact models, capacities, conditions and SIM arrangements are included?
- Does every unit record its regional version, network-lock status, IMEI status, Activation Lock status and SIM slot type?
- What evidence is available before the balance is paid?
- Which mismatch, return and warranty terms form part of the transaction?
- Who handles destination import permissions, duties and taxes?
Compare the goods, not the city label
For each offer, build a like-for-like row with the model, A-number, stated purchase market, observed SIM hardware, grade criteria, battery threshold and parts status. Then compare the inspection evidence and commercial scope. The model and SIM guide, grading standard and inspection process show the fields BiteLot uses.
If the handover location or seller differs from the marketing location, write both down. Do not infer that stock moved through a particular city or customs route without transaction documents.
BiteLot’s transaction point
BiteLot is based in Shenzhen. Its current offer uses the shipping, payment, risk-transfer, import-responsibility and dispute terms maintained on how to order and in the terms of sale. Those pages, together with the proforma invoice and unit list, govern the transaction.
Send the requested models, quantities, condition, destination and SIM requirement through the inquiry form. A dated quote confirms current availability and the offer’s exact scope.
