After iPhone 17: comparing used 15 and 16 quotes

Apple announced iPhone 17, iPhone Air, iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max on 9 September 2025. Pre-orders began on 12 September and availability began on 19 September, according to Apple’s launch announcement.

That launch is a dated event. It does not establish the price of a particular used iPhone 15 or iPhone 16 lot. Apple also offers trade-in paths for eligible devices, but that fact alone does not prove used wholesale supply, geographic flow, timing or price direction.

Make two quotes comparable

A lower line price can describe a different product. Before comparing offers, align these fields:

1. Exact model and capacity. An iPhone 15 Pro Max is not interchangeable with an iPhone 15, and capacities affect the unit specification.
2. Cosmetic grade. Use the written marks allowed on the display, frame and back, not the letter by itself.
3. Battery requirement. Compare the same minimum Battery Health and the same replacement-parts rule.
4. SIM hardware and purchase market. U.S.-purchased iPhone 15 and 16 models are eSIM-only. Confirm the exact model, A-number and required physical-SIM arrangement.
5. Lock and device status. Align network-lock, IMEI and Activation Lock requirements.
6. Evidence. Check whether the offer includes per-unit identifiers, results and video before balance payment.
7. Commercial scope. Compare currency, quote date and validity, freight inclusion, risk-transfer point, payment schedule, dispute terms and warranty.

Read a dated quote

Record the issue date and expiry time, then preserve the exact version you approve. Availability is confirmed at the proforma-invoice stage under the current ordering process. A later quote may contain different units or terms, so compare its fields again rather than carrying forward an earlier assumption.
